A Fun-Filled Summer Scavenger Hunt to Support Local Businesses

From July 1-27,2024, River Market transforms into a playground for families and adventure seekers with "Where’s Waldo at River Market."

Participants of all ages are invited to join in this free, family-friendly activity aimed at supporting the vibrant local businesses at River Market. To take part in the scavenger hunt, simply pick up a “Find Waldo at River Market” passport from Kinder Books. The passport lists all participating locations where Waldo can be found. Each time Waldo is spotted, participants can collect stamps or signatures from the respective shop.

Throughout the month, there will be weekly prize draws featuring exciting rewards donated by local businesses. Additionally, two grand prizes, featuring gigantic Waldo book bundles, will be drawn at the end of July, adding to the excitement and fun of the hunt.

"Where’s Waldo at River Market" isn’t just about finding Waldo; it’s also about exploring what River Market has to offer. In conjunction with the scavenger hunt, there will be a variety of events and activities hosted by River Market stores throughout July. Highlights include red and white themed origami and knitting classes, Pokémon search and find adventures at Rain City Games, a spectacular performance at Vancouver Circus School, art workshops at Kinder Books, and a special Where is Waldo kids yoga class at Yoga at the Quay.

How it works: 

1. Starting July1st, sign up and receive your passport at Kinder Books - this automatically enters you into the weekly prize draws.
2. Search and find Waldo at the participating 14 River Market businesses and get them signed or stamped.
3. Return your complete passport to Kinder Books to be entered into a draw to win one of the grand prize bundles donated by River Market businesses.
