About the Artisan

"My name is Debby.

I am a wife, mother to a toddler and two cats, and teacher. I named my shop after my two beautiful cats, Jonah and Sage.

I started sewing when I was in Grade 9. I have attended a few sewing classes at local fabric shops in the Greater Vancouver area to hone my sewing skills, but I basically taught myself almost everything about sewing!  

JonahNSage was born in the summer of 2018, a few months before I gave birth to my precious baby girl. While I was pregnant with her, my husband bought me a sewing machine so that I could embrace my creative side and make "welcome to the world" gifts for my then unborn child. I also have many friends who were pregnant around the same time I was, so I made a few gifts for my beloved friends’ new babies. It always makes me proud and happy to see them efficiently using the things I made for their little ones and also hear from them that they love what I made.

I make stuffed bunnies and their matching baby blankets using Minky fabric which is soft to the touch and perfect material for little ones. Please find me on Etsy - JonahNSage. 

Everything listed in my shop is handmade by myself with love and care in my smoke free, cat-friendly home. I take great pride and care in each and every item I make.
